鋁卷在冷軋制過程中，因軋輥與鋁板表面摩擦和碾壓，其表面會(huì)產(chǎn)生細(xì)微的氧化鋁粉脫落和吸附，軋制油及其附帶懸浮成分會(huì)殘留在鋁卷表面，對(duì)鋁卷復(fù)合、涂裝等成品加工造成不利影響。

拉彎矯直時(shí)由于帶材在輥上產(chǎn)生劇烈彎曲變形，對(duì)帶材施加的張力一部分轉(zhuǎn)化為帶材對(duì)張力輥的壓力，并終形成摩擦力，帶動(dòng)輥組。如果氧化鋁卷表面未經(jīng)清洗，變形時(shí)氧化鋁粉脫落，隨著油污一起附在張力輥的輥面，使輥面產(chǎn)生磨損，并造成鋁板略傷，故必須通過專門的清洗裝置進(jìn)行清洗。

鋁卷清洗就是利用壓力泵對(duì)清洗介質(zhì)加壓，對(duì)帶材表面進(jìn)行非接觸式噴洗或接觸式刷洗，使材料表面的鋁粉油污溶解脫落到清洗介質(zhì)中，再經(jīng)擠干輥擠干和高壓空氣吹掃，甚至高溫空氣烘干，以獲得潔凈干燥的鋁卷。
